After almost no information since its reveal for many months, Hyrule Warriors has been in the news seemingly every day with new information about the game. The latest is some of the most intriguing yet, but we do not know if it will be making it to the US.
The Japanese version of Hyrule Warriors will come as one of three different edition, the Standard Edition, The Premium Box, and the Treasure Box. The Standard Edition will come with the Courage Set of two costumes, the Premium Box has the Courage Set along with the Wisdom Set, while the Treasure Box includes both of those, as well as the Power Set.
The two costumes we’ve seen unveiled so far are from the Courage and Wisdom sets respectively, with Twilight Princess Link and Twilight Princess Zelda. With those both fitting the Triforce pieces associated with Link and Zelda, the question is whether the other costumes in each set will be for those two only, or completely different characters. If it is the latter, it would be especially interesting since we do not have any knowledge of Ganondorf being playable, but he typically holds the Triforce of Power.
We will have to wait and see if these special editions come to the US, or if the costumes will be DLC or even pre-order bonuses. With the game only a few months away, we will likely learn sooner rather than later. Hopefully we will be getting these and more, with so much potential based on the long running series. I’m still hoping for some sort of cel-shaded version of Adult Link to use when Hyrule Warriors releases on September 26 in the US.
