The ID@Xbox program – in which Independent Developers can work with Microsoft to develop and publish their games on the Xbox One has proven to be both popular and successful, lending weight to the thought that Indies play a large part in the future of gaming. There have already been a number of great games released through the program, like Worms Battlegrounds, The Golf Club, Guacamelee : Super Turbo Championship Edition and Pinball FX2, just to name a few.

There are so many titles up on offer through the program over the next 12 months that Microsoft have decided to host their own event prior to PAX Prime, specifically to showcase all the ID@Xbox Games coming to the Xbox One. The event ‘ID@Xbox Pre-PAX Open House’ will be held at the Microsoft Campus, Redmond, WA on Thursday August 28th from 6:00pm – 8:30pm. Anyone over the age of 18 can attend, or under 18 if supervised by a parent or guardian. The cost of admission is FREE.

Not only will you get to play over 25 ID@Xbox titles before they release, you’ll get to talk to the developers and check out the scenic Xbox campus.

As many people will be in town for the PAX Prime, Microsoft will be running the commandeered Sunset Overdrive bus to help people get to and from the Convention Center area, although it is first come-first-served, so you’d wanna be quick on the trigger to make use of it. They have noted there is plenty of parking space available if you miss out on the shuttle service.

If you’d like to know more about the details of ID@Xbox Pre-PAX Open House, like directions and shuttle bus schedules, you can find the info at Major Nelson’s blog.
