IO Interactive Has Some Interest In A Hitman: Blood Money Remaster

by Dean James

The Hitman franchise has been around for years, with the latest entry being a reboot of the series as a whole. However, that doesn’t mean fans will forget about the past as the series has provided us with plenty of quality titles over the years. One of the most beloved of the franchise is Blood Money and it sounds like at least there’s a little hope for a remaster.

Hitman: Blood Money released back in 2006 as a cross-gen title that released on not only PS2 and Xbox, but also on Xbox 360 and PC as well. It wasn’t until a few years ago that the game finally arrived on PS3 as part of the HD trilogy as well.

As a result, the game could use a bit of a facelift and that led to one person asking the official Hitman Twitter account run by IO Interactive if they would have any interest in a remaster of Blood Money, which got the following response.

“Yes, we have considered it. Blood Money is a much-loved game & we’d want to do it justice. Focus now is on the current game though”

This could have just been a somewhat canned response to where they didn’t want to outright say no, but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see it happen in this current age of the remaster.

Is Blood Money the game in the Hitman series you’d most like to see get a remaster or would you prefer another entry? Make sure to let us know in the comments below.
