According to a new listing on the European and Australian eShops, The Jackbox Party Pack 3 will hit Nintendo Switch on April 13th. This newly revealed release date fits perfectly with most speculation on the party game collection. This should be a great addition to the Switch’s games lineup, offering a new party game selection full of fun local multiplayer action.

The Jackbox Party Pack 3 contains five new party games that players can play with others locally. These games are Quiplash 2, Tee K.O., Fakin’ It, Guesspionage, and the extremely popular Trivia Murder Party. Each of these games offers a different take on Jackbox’s now trademark party game formula.

Assuming the game works the same on Nintendo Switch, Jackbox Party Pack 3 will let players either use controllers or their own smartphones to control the game, joining in via a website. The games are simple, but focus on fun and quick action. There’s often a trivia angle such as with Trivia Murder Party, or players will submit items that are then judged by others like in Tee K.O.

The games can get a bit adult, which does go against the typical family friendly atmosphere that Nintendo likes to maintain. They do offer a filter for adult content though, and the real content providers are usually the players themselves.

The Nintendo Switch already has a minor focus on small, party style gaming with 1-2-Switch and a few other upcoming games. Jackbox Party Pack 3 fits neatly into this niche and should do very well with the hybrid nature of the console. Taking this game on the go should be a lot of fun, and can give a quick, easy to setup experience for multiple players.

Check out The Jackbox Party Pack 3 when it hits Nintendo Switch on April 13th, likely for around $20 or $30 on the Nintendo eShop.
