If you are a fan of ECW, you might be disappointed to hear that WWE 2K17 won’t have much content for it. ECW merchandise is not even available to buy on WWEShop too.

Former ECW commentator, Joey Styles, confirmed on Twitter: “Sorry fans. There is no or ECW content in  2K17. There is also no ECW merch on .”

Joey Styles actually mentioned a few months ago that he wanted to be in the new game this year as a commentator. Well it looks like 2K Games ignored his request.

Paul Heyman said a few days ago that he wants Joey Styles in the game so that Brock Lesnar can F-5 him while he is shouting “Oh-My-God”. With this new revelation, we won’t be seeing any major old-school ECW content in the game.

It’s possible some ECW stuff will still be in WWE 2K17. This can include the company logo for use in t-shirts and signs. Not to mention many former ECW wrestlers are now working for WWE including the likes of The Dudley Boyz and Rhyno just to name a few. Even Chris Jericho and Stone Cold Steve Austin were a part of ECW in the ’90s.
