Fans will be happy to know that the file size for the Final Fantasy XV demo will not eat up all of their hard drive space.
Final Fantasy XV is expected to be a very huge game. The demo itself will cover a large area, and some gamers were concerned what the file size for the game would be. It appears the file size for the demo won’t be as large as anticipated.
Final Fantasy XV’s director, Hajime Tabata, revealed the file size for the demo during an recent interview with JPGames.de. Tabata said that the file size for the demo will only be 5GB. However, he stressed that the demo will use “the full processing memory” of both the PS4 and Xbox One.
5GB for the Final Fantasy XV demo doesn’t sound too bad. Several betas in the past have been larger than 10GB. 5GB won’t take too much room from the 500GB that is available for most PS4 and Xbox One owners.
It’ll be interesting to see how big the full Final Fantasy XV game will be. Square Enix has noted that the game has very large environments and these types of games usually take up a lot of space.
