After being announced more than a year ago, the fighting game Kill la Kill IF finally has a release date, and fans around the world will be excited to hear that it comes out very soon. In fact, it launches at the end of the month on July 26 for North America, though most other regions will receive it a day earlier on July 25.
To commemorate this event, Arc System Works has released a new gameplay demo for those who are interested in playing it. However, for us gamers in North America, you’ll need to pre-order the actual game to gain access to the demo. No explicit reason was given as to why we need to jump through an extra hoop to play it a bit earlier, but it might have something to do with the long standing history of niche Japanese fighting games not doing very well in the States, although this is merely a conjecture and not a proven point.
Still, their is some other good news to go along with this, the game will also be releasing on PC through Steam. No information was given on what the requirements would be to run it, but we expect that information to be revealed sooner than later. The game very much plays akin to the Naruto Storm series, where the camera rotates from an over-the-shoulder perspective as you input button combinations to execute attacks and special abilities.
Kill la Kill IF launches on July 26 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam. You can check out a special tutorial video for the game here:
