Very recently, the special limited editions for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX in Japan were unveiled, with some special collector’s editions involving both of the two HD collections. Now, the version coming to North America has been revealed, but it greatly pales in comparison to the Japanese exclusives.
The limited edition of the game will come with a exclusive Disney collectible pin that has Sora and Mickey. Rather than requiring you to pay more, you will actually be upgraded to the limited edition just for pre-ordering the game, similar to the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster earlier this year.
This is certainly a case where Japan got a much better offering than us, as I was really hoping we’d see the already revealed limited edition, rather than one with simply a pin included. Though it has been removed since, the official Square Enix store briefly had a small image of the US cover for the game, which appears to be the exact same as the one we saw already for the Japanese release.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX will be releasing exclusively for the PlayStation 3 on December 2nd, so if you are interested in getting it, make sure to pre-order it so you can get the special limited edition at no extra cost, even if there isn’t much to it.
