Kingdom Hearts 3 finally released earlier this year after years and years of waiting for longtime fans. This mostly overshadowed the release of the Kingdom Hearts VR Experience for PSVR that came a month later. This free game for PlayStation VR was short and very simple, with the promise of more content coming via updates later in the year, and now one is ready to arrive next week with Olympus Coliseum.
Kingdom Hearts VR Experience is far from a full fledged game, instead letting you experience key moments in the franchise in VR. The original release was only about 10 minutes long and only features an opening like section, Sora talking with Riku and Kairi on Destiny Islands, and a closing cinematic.
The latest update brings some new content and gameplay as well, as players can journey to Olympus Coliseum. From the trailer, it looks like this experience will be super simple again, with enemies showing up in front of you in the Coliseum and you simple whacking them once with your Keyblade to send them away to see a little scene in the distance.
With the Keyblade being used now, you can also use PlayStation Move controllers with the game as well, though it appears it won’t require much usage of them based on the short trailer released.
While the Japanese version of the original release came out prior to the US release, it appears this update is hitting worldwide on the same day according to the following tweet.
