Riot Games have recently made an announcement regarding the venues for the 2015 League of Legends World Championships.

Touring around Europe the eSport powerhouse League of Legends (LoL) will hold sections of the World Championship tournament in four different European capitals: Paris, London, Brussels and Berlin. The League of Legends World Championships is a global eSports event where the very best pro teams compete to reach the grand final and lift the Summoner’s cup. Below is the full list of dates and venues as confirmed by Riot Games (note that tickets for the event are not yet available but will be on sale soon).

Group Stages: October 1-4 and October 8-11 – Le Dock Pullman, Paris
Quarterfinals: October 15-18 – SSE Arena Wembley, London
Semifinals: October 24-25 – Brussels Expo, Brussels
Finals: October 31 – Mercedes-Benz Area (formerly O2 Arena, Berlin) – Halloween costume optional

The genre took off when a Warcraft 3 mod called Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) was released back in 2003. League of Legends was designed from this mod and is both played and watched by millions of gamers from around the world. The 2014 League of Legends World Championships were held across Taipei, Singapore, Busan and Seoul, Korea with the grand final being held in front of 40,000 spectators, at the event, and 27 million viewers online.
