Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare released a little over a month ago to lower sales numbers than 2015’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. However, the game has still garnered pretty solid reception for most and those that may have been on the fence about the game are going to get a chance to check it out for free this weekend on both PS4 and Xbox One.
Activision has revealed that they are giving us a little bit of an early Christmas present this weekend with a five day free event for part of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
While many of the free play weekend events for other games in the past have been for the whole game, this Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare free trial is limited, though all three game modes will be accessible in some fashion.
Starting this Thursday, December 15 at 10:00 am PT, the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Free Trial will go live on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with you able to find this and download it from the respective digital stores.
This free trial will give you access to all three game modes, campaign, multiplayer, and zombies, but there are limits to how far you can progress. For campaign, you can only play the first two levels in this trial. Multiplayer is capped at level 15, while Zombies is capped at level 3.
Also, Modern Warfare Remastered is not part of this free trial in any way, so you will only have access to content from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare itself.
Even though this free trial is limited, you are still going to be downloading the full game with restrictions placed upon it, so the download size is 60 GB still. As a result, make sure that you have plenty of room on your system to download this, as it definitely is going to take up a solid chunk of your HDD space.
This free trial will run through Tuesday, December 20 at 10:00 am PT, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to try out the game.
