Announced during Bandai Namco’s Anime Expo presentation, the Japanese company will be publishing two new games based on popular anime licenses. The first, a 3D action beat ’em up based on the magical anime, Little Witch Academia and, the second, an action-adventure based on Seven Deadly Sins.

Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time will be releasing in early 2018 on PS4 and PC for Western gamers. Players will follow series protagonist Akko Kagari and her group of friends through a completely original story. Taking place before the start of summer vacation, Chamber of Time will allow players to explore Luna Nova Magical Academy and unravel a brand-new mystery.

Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia also launches early 2018 as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Knights of Britannia is currently being hyped as the first ever home console game based on the Seven Deadly Sins license with its prior gaming history being limited to a single a 3DS game released in 2015. Players will be able to explore the vast lands of Britannia with series-favourite characters Meliodas, Elizabeth and Hawk, battling foes both offline in single-player or online with friends. Knights of Britannia will also feature local co-op for players, limited to two players.

Both games are taking very different directions, catering extremely well towards their respective properties. Little Witch Academia’s fast-paced brawling with gorgeous cell-shaded visuals mimicking the anime. Seven Deadly Sins appears to be more open and free-form, resembling the adventurous narrative of the original show.
