Madden 16 NFC East Ratings Feature Bitter Rivals

Madden 16 is out two weeks from today and EA Sports has been continuing to release their ratings for each of the divisions. We’ve already gotten the reveal of the ratings for all four AFC divisions and now it is time for the NFC, and we’re starting with the NFC East.

The top two teams in the NFC East are very close in ratings, but the Dallas Cowboys take the top spot with an 86 OVR. Tony Romo will be one of the keys as always at QB, helped with the WR target Dez Bryant and TE Jason Witten. The loss of DeMarco Murray will hurt at RB, but the addition of Darrin McFadden behind that strong offensive line should help. The linebacker group with ROLB Sean Lee and MLB Rolando McClain will be big helps on the defense as well.

The Eagles are one of the biggest question marks in the league, with so many departures and additions in key positions, though EA Sports feels pretty confident with an 84 OVR. The QB position has taken a hit with Sam Bradford in charge, but the RB position is going to be solid with DeMarco Murray moving over from the Cowboys. The defensive secondary added a few like CB Byron Maxwell, but they are lacking a big superstar.

The New York Giants are a decent drop to 77 OVR, but they can still be competitive with QB Eli Manning still leading the team, with WRs Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz to throw to. The defense should help the cause to return to the division crown with CBs Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Prince Amakamura, and hopefully DE Jason Pierre-Paul returning in his usual form after the freak fireworks injury last month.

The Washington Redskins are only 2 points lower than the Giants at 75 OVR, but they are definitely the weakest of the bunch at this point. Robert Griffin III is expected to the starter at QB, with RB Alfred Morris returning again alongside WRs DeSean Jackson and and Pierre Garcon. The defense is also questionable, with LOLB Ryan Kerrigan as one of the standouts.
