EA Sports has been holding their annual Madden cover vote contest as of late and after narrowing down the field to two finalists, we finally have a winner now with one of the most talented young playmakers in the NFL. The cover reveal wasn’t all that EA Sports gave us either, as they also gave us our first look at Madden 16 in its debut trailer.
As revealed during last night’s SportsCenter, reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants will grace the cover of Madden 16. Defined by spectacular catches all year long, Beckham Jr. very quickly became one of the most talked about players in the NFL. The height of his popularity game from what some called the greatest catch of all time that he made falling backwards with one hand against the rivals Dallas Cowboys for a touchdown. The NFL is currently stacked with young studs at the wide receiver position and Beckham Jr. is the epitome of this, making him a perfect option to be on the cover of Madden 16.
EA Sports also revealed the first look at the game with its debut trailer that you can see below. Madden 16 is set to arrive in its usual late summer spot on August 25 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
