Mario Kart 8‘s upcoming 200cc content update is due out in a few weeks and footage has appeared on the Nintendo’s European Youtube channel that shows off some more gameplay of the mode.
The Mario Kart 8 gameplay footage compares it to the 150cc version of ‘Piranha Plant Pipeway’ which is known in North America as Piranha Plant Slide. The 200cc is of course exceptionally faster and has a real sense of speed to it which as many know, it will up the difficulty of Mario Kart significantly. Especially when playing with friends. The 200cc run looks to go faster, or it could just be the player controlling on the right is better, but it is likely not the skill of player. Fans are pretty excited that this time of major addition is being offered as a free update to Mario Kart 8. It’s great to see Nintendo not going down the usual path and taking the ‘road less traveled’ with free updates to their high profile titles. The upcoming Mario Kart 8 200cc content is expected to drop on April 23rd, completely free for the Nintendo Wii U.
