Nintendo has worked on a few mobile games over the past few years, including Super Mario RunDragalia LostAnimal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and Fire Emblem Heroes. The company has expressed interest in continuing to release mobile games alongside their console releases, and the next one scheduled is Mario Kart Tour.

Nintendo recently revealed that there will be a closed Beta of Mario Kart Tour, during which some fans will be able to try the game out before its actual launch. Sign-ups for the closed Beta are going on now and will continue through Tuesday, May 7 at 7:59pm PST/10:59pm EST, but are only open to Android users, not iOS users. You can sign up for the Beta by clicking here. Only a limited amount of people will be able to access the Beta, however, so if too many people sign up, Nintendo will select some at random to participate in the Beta. This Beta is scheduled to take place in the United States and Japan from Wednesday, May 22 to Tuesday, June 4. The full game is still set to release at an unspecified date sometime this summer. It is also stated that the game will include in-app purchases, but that this feature won’t be available during the Beta.
