Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle will have a Season Pass according to Ubisoft. The details of this DLC pack came alongside announcements surrounding the post-launch DLC plans for the upcoming turn based strategy game. The Season Pass will cost $19.99, so keep reading to find out what the pack will contain.

“In addition to eight unique steampunk weapons available at launch, Season Pass owners will have access to new solo challenges and co-op maps this fall, along with new story content in 2018. The Mario + Rabbids Season Pass will be available on August 29 in the Nintendo eShop for $19.99,” said Ubisoft.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle features Nintendo properties, but it is actually being developed by Ubisoft. The developer is mixing their popular Rabbids franchise with the Mario universe to craft something totally new. While many anticipated an RPG of some sort, the actual game turned out to be a turn-based strategy game more in line with XCOM than any previous Mario title.

I got to go hands-on with the game at E3, twice actually, and was impressed both times. The game was a lot of fun, mixing together these two very different properties to create something very unique. The gameplay was streamlined and fun, while still offering some deep strategy elements.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle hits Nintendo Switch on August 29th.
