Well, it finally happened. With Mega Man Legacy Collections 1 and 2 coming out over the past few years, everyone has been anticipating the announcement of a similar collection of games featuring the Mega Man X series, and now it’s official. Both Mega Man X Legacy Collections 1 and 2 will be coming out this summer.

An announcement trailer was posted on the official Mega Man YouTube channel today (April 10) that reveals the two collections as part of a celebration of the iconic character’s thirtieth anniversary. The first collection will contain the first four games in the series while the second collection is comprised of the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth entries. All games will receive enhanced visuals, including an option for a high-resolution filter. As is to be expected from these Legacy Collections, both collections will feature a “museum” of art, music and videos from throughout the series’ history. These collections will also include a new X Challenge Mode, which will pit the player against two bosses at once.

Both Mega Man X Legacy Collection and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 will launch on July 24 and will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. You can watch the official announcement trailer below.
