In regards to the rumors that started on Monday about a Halo: Combat Evolved HD Remake in the works at 343 Industries, Microsoft commented to Eurogamer about the topic that’s been on all Halo fan’s minds (aside from the Noble Map Pack of course).  And, well they didn’t flat out deny it, and they didn’t confirm it either.  They just changed the subject. So thisis still on the table folks.

Right now our focus is on supporting Halo: Reach,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Eurogamer this morning. “We have nothing to announce at this time,” per Eurogamer.

Update:  Hello there.  I’m from the future.  Microsoft DID release a Halo: Combat Evolved HD Remake.  It was OK.  They also released a complete collection of all the Halo games which turned out to be a complete disappointment because it was utterly broken for months after release.

Boy if we could’ve told you this in 2010, life would’ve been so much easier for all of us.  No wasted money on busted games, Microsoft might’ve canned the project completely if they had read this post then.  Who knows, they might’ve even canned Don Mattrick earlier so that the whole Xbox One fiasco never took place… it could’ve been an alternate reality play of sorts.

Nevertheless, this rumor turned out to be 100% true.
