Microsoft has announced that they will be testing cheaper Xbox One digital games pricing, the first game being Ryse: Son of Rome.

Microsoft announced that the game will be $39.99/£34.99 on the Xbox One Store from February 18th – February 24th. This is in lead up to new DLC that is coming out for the game. DLC is also set to be discounted as well between February 25th to February 27th. Studio manager at Microsoft Mike Ybarra has recently confirmed this via Twitter. The cheaper price for the game comes from previous backlash that was from fans arguing that digital games should be at a cheaper price.

The new DLC for Ryse: Son of Rome is titled the Mars’ Chosen Pack and will be available for $8.99. The DLC will feature new maps, a new skin and a new survival co-op mode. According to Microsoft this DLC is supposed to be the “most ambitious and robust add-on to date.” You can read more about the DLC here.
