Mortal Kombat 11 DLC Fighters Might be Revealed Next Week

Seemingly out of nowhere, Mortal Kombat creator, Ed Boone, tweeted that if “all goes well” then NetherRealm will be revealing the remaining roster of DLC fighters that will be joining Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat 11. Fans have been speculating on whether the company would hold onto this information until E3, but if Boone’s statement hold true, we’ll be treated with some awesome news way before then.

While this is exciting information, Boone has been mum on the subject since and won’t offer any more insight until the actual reveal is upon us. As for what day it will actually happen, it’s anyone’s guess, but the most logical time frame would be Tuesday/Wednesday. If NetherRealm wanted they could wait right up until the dawn of E3 itself, but with so many other reveals taking place around the same time, it wouldn’t make much sense to throw it out during those days.

Back in March before Mortal Kombat 11 released, the company announced that Shang Tsung would be the very first DLC fighter offered for the title. On top of that, the character will also be portrayed/voiced by the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie actor Cary Tagawa. Whether this has any indication for the upcoming fighters is unknown, but it would be interesting to see NetherRealm continue this theme by having known celebrities and actors play out the characters.

Mortal Kombat 11 is available today for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. You can check out our review of the game here.
