Some features from previous Mortal Kombat games will not be making a return in Mortal Kombat X.

Angry Joe recently had a chance to interview Ed Boon (creator of Mortal Kombat) more about what we can expect to see in Mortal Kombat X. Boon sadly confirmed some features from the older games will not be making an appearance.

One of the features that Mortal Kombat X won’t have is the tag team mode from the last game. Boon confirmed that the tag team mode was actually not played by a lot of people in the 2011 video game. Boon said the team loved the tag mode, but the team “only had a certain number of energy” to put new features. NetherRealm Studios decided to put new features into the game instead and had to leave the tag team out mode completely. Boon however said a tag team mode could return in the future if people want it.

Another thing that Boon confirmed is that Mortal Kombat X will not have any stage/level fatalities. This is because the game already has other vicious finishing moves. Not only is there multiple Fatalities for each character, but the game also has over 100 Brutalities too.

Are you disappointed that Mortal Kombat X will be missing these features?
