Multiple Xbox Live Apps Have Been Down All Week

For the last few days multiple Xbox Live apps have been either down or limited in some way. Bravo, Comedy Central, Comedy Time, IGN, MTV, and Pizza Hut have been affected, with most of them being almost unusable for the last few days. Aside from individual messages attached to each app explaining some of the symptoms and stating that teams are working on the problem, no other comment has been made on the issue.

Usually smaller app outages like this are cleared up quickly, hence why we neglected to report on it until now, but this one seems to have stretched well beyond the norm. Starting at least on Monday, but likely before that for some of these services, the various apps have either had random connection problems, or been totally unable to perform their normal functions.

Anecdotally, I have been unable to stream anything off of the Xbox One Comedy Central app all week. This seems to be what others are reporting for the same app, as well as others. Even the Pizza Hut app is reported as “limited” with the statement reading “Hi Xbox members, are you having trouble using the Pizza Hut application? We’re working with our partner to get this resolved as quick as we can. Thanks for being patient while we work. We’ll update you again when we have more information.” You can pretty much sub in the other titles and that is the message posted on the Xbox Live Status page.

With the problem stretching over multiple days with little new information,  it will only make gamers wonder when the issue will be solved. We’ll keep this article updated with any further news as the outage develops.
