As everyone patiently awaits Dark Souls 2: Scholar Of The First Sin re-release and Bloodborne, it seems that Bandai Namco might already have FromSoftware working on another title in the ‘Souls’ franchise.

A recent European trademark uncovered by NeoGaf looks to show what could be a sequel to the beloved Dark Souls 2. The title in question is something dubbed, Soldier’s Soul. Although little to nothing is known about it, speculation can be done, considering it is one of Namco’s most profitable franchises.

Fans at NeoGaf seem to be torn between accepting Soldier’s Soul as a new Souls game, that might have potential war elements, and others are considering it milking of the franchise by Bandai Namco and FromSoftware. It is safe to say that if this does turn out to be a new entry in the Souls franchise that the earliest players will see it is mid, to late 2016.

Until then fans of FromSoftware’s titles will be pressed for choice with the upcoming release of Bloodborne on PlayStation 4 in March, followed by the release of Dark Souls 2: Scholars Of The First Sin in April. There will be plenty of Souls-type action to be had this spring without any doubt.
