Bandai Namco has given a release date for the Nintendo Switch port of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy, which will be available on April 26 in North America, Europe, and Japan, as a digital-only title. The collection has also received a trailer featuring the first footage of the games running on the hybrid console, and explaining the concept of the games for all users who may not have had the chance to play the series until now.
The Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy narrates the events of the original Naruto anime and its continuation, Naruto Shippuden. While the first game offers the chance to freely explore the Hidden Leaf Village, the second and third entries put more focus on building a strong narrative experience, making justice to some of the most exciting sequences of the anime. You can read all about the games in our review of the PS4 version, which also included the more recent fourth entry.
The company also confirmed recently that the games will run at 540p resolution in handheld mode and 900p in dock, which has certainly disappointed some fans considering that the screen of the console has a resolution of 720p, although at least the games keep a stable framerate of 30FPS.
