EA has announced Need for Speed: Heat. Following yesterday’s leak of the title, the publisher has confirmed that the leaks were true. Developed by Ghost Ghames, Need for Speed Heat is described as “the ultimate street racer versus cop fantasy.”

The announcement reveals a familiar structure that EA has attempted numerous times in the last few iterations of the series. Need for Speed Heat is going to be an open world where players compete in sanctioned street races by day, and by night they’re competing in Underground races, which the police have on their radar.

The game is said to offer more cars, more customization, and more challenges, according to Ghost Games Creative Director Riley Cooper.

Need for Speed Heat is dated for November 8th, 2019 and it will arrive on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Like other EA titles, Need for Speed Heat will be available first to EA Access and Origin Access subscribers.

If you want to see Need For Speed Heat in action, you’ll want to tune in on August 19th during the opening night of Gamescom to get a first glimpse at the new racer.
