Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct brought us an abundance of news related to amiibo, including the reveal of the release date for the Wave 4 amiibo that we told you about last night. Not only have we found out just when pre-orders for those will be going up for GameStop, but also where one of the exclusives will be able to be bought.

The official GameStop Twitter account revealed that the highly sought after Ness amiibo will be exclusive to their chain, with pre-orders starting today at 3:00 pm ET. This also means that the rest of the Wave 4 that are non-exclusives will also go up for pre-order at the same time. Specifically, employees on the amiibo subreddit have provided images of the memo sent around through the company, which said that the following amiibo will be available to pre-order online and in-store at 3:00 pm ET on April 2.

  • Ness (Exclusive to GameStop)
  • Lucina
  • Robin
  • Pac-Man
  • Charizard
  • Wario
  • Inkling Boy (Splatoon)
  • Inkling Girl (Splatoon)
  • Splatoon 3-pack with Boy, Girl, and Squid.

This leaves out the new newly announced Jigglypuff and Greninja, but as we told you earlier, Jigglypuff will be exclusive to Target. Greninja’s exclusivity is unknown, but it is very likely going to be Toys R Us based on GameStop and Target being taken up already. There is no telling when they will go up for pre-order at their respective retailers, but hopefully it will be soon.

The only disappointing part about GameStop’s in-store pre-0rders this time is that like the Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL was, they will only be available as Web In-Store Orders reportedly. This means you must pay the full price up front and it will be shipped to your house at launch, rather than being able to just put down $5. If you have any plans on getting the Ness amiibo, it would be in your best interests to watch GameStop.com or head in store at 3 pm ET today. If not, you may not be able to get one.
