New Deus Ex: Mankind Divided DLC Coming February

Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have announced some details and the release date for the second Deus Ex: Mankind Divided story DLC. Titled A Criminal Past, this new story DLC will take place before the main game and will cover Adam Jensen’s first mission for TF29, the group that Adam joins under orders from the Juggernaut Collective to try and find more information on the Illuminati.

A Criminal Past will see Adam go undercover in an augs-only, high security prison in Arizona. His mission is to track down and retrieve some sensitive information from another undercover agent who has recently gone dark. Success will help combat terror around the world, but Adam will have to face some of his personal demons as well before the mission is over, according to the announcement.

The new DLC will also see the return of TF29 psychiatrist Delara Auzenne. Given her role in the main game as well as the premise of the DLC, it’s possible that she’s guiding Adam to tell her the story of his first mission for TF29 in one of their many therapy sessions.

A Criminal Past will mark the second and final planned story DLC for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided following the release of System Rift in September of last year. There’s been no announcement if Square Enix has any plans on releasing any more content for the game after this new mission.

The new DLC will release on February 23 and will be available for download on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and other online platforms. It will also be available in the Season Pass for those that purchased it. No price for the individual DLC has been announced but the first story DLC, System Rift, was sold at $10, so expect a similar price. Read more about the upcoming DLC on their official site here.
