A new Minecraft update is rolling out now across all console platforms. This latest patch adds a bunch of fresh content for players to enjoy, including a new Mash-up Pack, Skin Pack, Glide map, and more. Title Minecraft Update 53 on Xbox One and Patch 1.50 on PS4, the additions and changes are mostly the same across platforms. Check out the patch notes right here, and read on for the highlights.
The Adventure Time Mash-up Pack is the biggest thing that comes with this new Minecraft update. Bringing the world of the cartoon to the mega popular game, players can purchase this DLC to add new textures and skins, along with an Adventure Time themed world to their game. Combined with the new Magic: The Gathering Skin Pack, players have a lot of new stuff to buy, if they so choose.
For those who don’t want to spend any money there’s a brand new Glide map called Temple. This game mode has been rather popular since its debut, so getting some new, free content for it is a good move by 4J.
Other stuff included in this Minecraft update include:Â Added Pick Block – This is unassigned by default. Added Off-hand slot for Maps and Arrows. Added Shulker Box item. Added Shulker Shell item. Along with various bug fixes.
The one version of the game that’s still playing catch up to the rest has some changes for this update. Glide arrives for Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition, as well as the new Adventure Time and Magic DLC. Soon this version will reach parity with the rest and updates should stay the same across the board.
These types of patches can take awhile to propagate across the various storefronts. Just load up the game to see if there’s an update available, and it should arrive either today or tomorrow.
