The Nintendo 3DS is the biggest hardware launch of 2011, quite possibly one of the biggest launches in quite a few years. Â Since the handheld’s release in the U.S. , reports have surfaced of the Black Screen of Death. Â What this BSOD means is that some of the 3DS launch titles have been crashing to an error message, prompting users to reboot the device. Â The error message

Which wouldn’t be a huge problem to receive an error now and again, but users are complaining of persistent issues that are affecting their QT with their new device.  Nintendo advises that the latest firmware be installed for the device, but if problems continue further, you’ll need to bring the troubled units to you local Nintendo Customer Service Center.  This emergency firmware update, should fix the issues.
