Today (January 31), Nintendo made several small announcements on their Twitter page. These announcements include news about an online service for the Switch, news about the upcoming Mario movie and a new game for mobile devices currently in development.

The new mobile game announced is called Mario Kart Tour and, just as you could guess, will be a Mario Kart game for mobile devices. Nothing else is really known about this game right now except that it is slated for release before the end of the next fiscal year, which ends March 2019. It was also announced recently, after much speculation and rumors, that Nintendo is officially teaming up with Illumination, of Despicable Me fame, to make a Mario movie that will be co-produced by Chris Meledandri and Shigeru Miyamoto himself.

Lastly, it was revealed that the Switch will finally get an online service this September. Online play for the Switch is currently free, but once the official service launches in September, it will become a paid service, which players can subscribe to for $3.99 a month, $7.99 for three months or $19.99 for a year. In addition to online playability, the online service will include a Classic Game Selection, which will act like Netflix for classic games, meaning that you can play these games for free while you are subscribed to the service. Confirmed games for the service include Super Mario Bros. 3Balloon Fight and Dr. Mario. It is not entirely clear yet if this Classic Game Selection is meant to replace a potential Switch Virtual Console or not.
