Microsoft went a little early this month, showing off their Xbox Live Games with Gold for October a few weeks before usual. The surprise of it was undercut a bit by how disappointing the games were though. Sony has followed up today, and with a list of free games that should excite anyone. Here’s October’s PlayStation Plus free games:
Resident Evil for PS4, Transformers: Devastation for PS4, Mad Riders for PS3, From Dust for PS3, Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ for PS Vita, and Actual Sunlight for PS Vita.
Resident Evil is a fantastic addition to the PS Plus Instant Game Collection, bringing the GameCube remake to the PS4 with some HD improvements layered on top. Anyone who hasn’t already played this classic will want to download this right away when it hits PS Plus on October 1st.
Then we have Transformers: Devastation, a very underappreciated game from Bayonetta developer PlatinumGames. “With your choice of five Autobots, get in there and battle against the Decepticons and Insecticons to save earth from Megatron’s evil plans.”
We’ll do a full breakdown of the rest of the PlayStation Plus free games for October 2016 in our monthly matchup, but right now it’s not looking too good for Xbox Live Games with Gold.
