Publisher Team17 has announced that they are bringing Overcooked: Special Edition to Nintendo Switch on July 27. It will be priced at $19.99 via the Nintendo eShop.
Overcooked first launched last year for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC and became a popular co-op game with charming graphics. Players control chefs in a kitchen full of obstacles as they prepare food under a time limit. Varied kitchen set-ups make it increasingly difficult for people to complete orders. Some hazards include pedestrian crosswalks, slippery terrain, and more.
It received two awards at the 13th British Academy Games Awards for Best British Game and Best Family Game.
The Special Edition includes:
- 44 campaign levels which can be played solo or couch co-op with up to 4 players
- 9 versus levels to play head to head locally with either 2 or 4 players
- 22 different chefs to play as. Choose a human, racoon, dinosaur, French bulldog, robot or even a reindeer in your quest for culinary greatness!
- A range of crazy kitchens to play across with different recipes to master – cook soup, burritos, burgers, fish and chips and more!
Overcooked looks likes a game perfectly suited for the Nintendo Switch, so it’s great that players can enjoy it on the system soon.
