While Overwatch has been a massive success across all platforms, there are still some people out there who haven’t yet jumped on board. If you’re one of them and you’re a PlayStation 4 owner then we’ve got good news, as the game will be hosting a free weekend soon.
Overwatch is set to be playable for free on PlayStation 4 starting September 9th at 11:00 AM PDT, running all the way to September 12th at 4:00 PM PDT. Everyone will have complete access to the game and all of its modes and heroes, with their being no restrictions whatsoever.
“During the Free Weekend, we’re making Overwatch’s full roster of 22 heroes and every map available for play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the latest Weekly Brawl. You’ll also be able to level up and earn Loot Boxes — and if you like what you play and decide to buy Overwatch: Origins Edition later, you’ll keep whatever progress you made during the Free Weekend.”
There will be an Overwatch client for those interested to download that will be called the Overwatch Free Weekend client, and you can check out the launch times for this client going live by clicking right here.
Overwatch is set to be kicking off the second season of its Competitive Play very soon, with the second season commencing on September 6th across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Get more info on that by clicking right here.
