Amy Hennig will give the opening keynote address at next month’s PAX West 2016 gaming convention. Hennig has worked on some of the biggest and best games of all time, with her resume including the Uncharted series, and an upcoming Star Wars game with Visceral.

“Amy’s revolutionary work on the Uncharted series played an immeasurable role in shaping the modern gaming landscape,” said Jerry Holkins, co-founder of Penny Arcade. “We’re thrilled PAX West attendees will have the chance to listen to one of gaming’s leading visionaries.”

PAX West 2016 takes place on September 2nd through the 5th in Seattle, WA. I’ll be there all weekend, so keep an eye on the site for any big news, and some previews of the biggest upcoming games. So far the schedule and exhibitor list has remained a secret, so we aren’t sure what to expect from the convention this year.

It seems like we won’t be getting any massive announcements this year, with Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo set to show off newer hardware well after the expo concludes. Still, we should get to try out some great new games for the current systems. And honestly, I’m looking forward to all the Pokemon Go shenanigans that I’m going to get into.
