With all the problems happening with Konami at the moment, many people assumed PES 2016 and the entire franchise was in jeopardy. It looks like people were panicking a bit prematurely.

The rumors of PES 2016 having a grim future started when Konami announced its 2015 schedule. People noticed Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is still on schedule for a September release. However, there was not mention of PES 2016 or the PES franchise.

People assumed Konami cancelled PES 2016 and the whole franchise was dead. After all, Konami did cancel Silent Hills a couple of weeks ago. However, it looks like the PES franchise is still alive and kicking.

PES Community Manager, Adam Bhatti, tweeted the following good news to fans:

Hey guys just want to say to please stop worrying, the future of PES is safe 😉 We have an incredible future ahead, can’t wait to show you 👍

This is good news for PES fans. It’s expected the first piece of PES 2016 news will be revealed during the final of the UEFA Champions League final. The game hasn’t been cancelled like some people feared earlier today. You cannot blame fans for being a little worried considering Konami’s recent actions lately…
