The latest Final Fantasy MMO called Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is currently only available on PC and PlayStation consoles, though Xbox’s Phil Spencer would love for that to change going forward.
A fan recently asked Phil Spencer on Twitter about the prospects of Final Fantasy XIV coming to Xbox One, to which he replied with, “That would be great, we’d love to have FF14 on Xbox One.”
This has all been coming to light with the recent news that Microsoft would begin allowing cross-platform play between PSN and Xbox Live. Final Fantasy XIV director Naoki Yoshida said a couple of years ago that they are ready to port the game to Xbox One, and are just waiting for cross-platform server support.
Final Fantasy XIV got off to a bumpy start with a pretty disappointing launch that was a low point for the entire series, but the developer went back to the drawing board and released the vastly superior Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The game is still going strong today, becoming many MMO players’ game of choice.
