Obsidian Entertainment finally dated the release of the second Pillars of Eternity expansion, The White March Part 2. Fans of the throwback role-playing game should mark their calendars for mid-February and check out a new story teaser trailer.
The February 16 release date for Pillars of Eternity: The White March Part 2 is actually a bit of a delay. Obsidian originally stated a late January 2016 release for the second part of the expansion, but obviously plans can change when it comes to game development.
The expansion to the award-winning RPG adds new quests, new abilities, and a new companion named Meneha, the Barbarian. This new companion drags the player into new adventures across the snowy Eastern Reach. A raised level cap was also introduced along with a “story time” mode to provide players with a quicker main narrative experience.
The above story teaser trailer was released to accompany the launch date announcement of The March Part 2. It portends of a fairly ominous conclusion to the Pillars of Eternity expansion as the narrator tells of a dream of whole cities being swallowed and a marching army with faces that leave him shaking.
A price for The White March Part 2 has not been announced yet, but it is presumably the same same $14.99 cost as Part 1. They both can be purchased as part of the Pillars of Eternity Season Pass for $24.99 on Steam.
