Plants vs Zombies 2 release date set for Spring 2013

PopCap Games will release a sequel to their popular Plants vs Zombies game in 2013. Plants vs. Zombies 2 is set to arrive in late spring of next year, and will include “a bevy of new features, settings, and situations.”

Aside from this bevy of new features, little else has been revealed about the sequel. Plants Vs. Zombies has been a wildly successful mobile franchise for PopCap and Electronic Arts. Played best on a touch screen, the original PvZ is a tower defense style game which tasks the player with defending against an oncoming zombie horde.

Facing wave after wave of zombies has been a great time waster for millions on the iPhone, Android Devices, and Tablets since its release all the way back in 2009.
