After months of waiting, Sony finally released the much anticipated PlayStation 4 System Update 2.0 last week, which added an abundance of features. These included the very innovative Share Play as well as a new sleep mode known as Rest Mode. However, since the launch of said update, many gamers have been experiencing some serious issues with their consoles, but the good news is that those troubles should now be over.

We told you about some potential temporary fixes the other day, but luckily Sony has now released a new System Update for the PlayStation 4 that is aimed to fix this problem. This update comes less than a day after Sony announced that one was coming, which shows how serious they were about this issue, that many thought was bricking their consoles.

The update should be pushed automatically to your console for download, but if you have different settings, you can check for updates within the settings as well. This update is 217.2 MB, so it shouldn’t take long at all to download.

Sony has yet to officially announce that this update is available, but according to the update itself, the only feature is “system software stability during use of some featured has been improved.” Make sure to get this update as soon as possible to fix this major bug that has been plaguing PS4 owners.
