PlayStation Store Continues Franchise Sale With Celebration Of Metal Gear Solid Series

The PlayStation Store is continuing its nearly two month long Franchise Sale with yet another week of big sales. So far we’ve seen franchises like Resident Evil and Call of Duty be discounted, but now it is the beloved Metal Gear Solid series’ turn.

This week’s sale spans pretty much the entire series, featuring games on each of the three currently supported PlayStation platforms, as well as a few games for the PSP as well, so there is plenty to be had for everyone according to the sales listed on the official PlayStation blog.

The PlayStation 4 only has two games in the series thus far, and both of those are on sale, with Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain both on sale.

PlayStation 3 owners have the most choices, as there are not only games like Metal Gear Solid 4, but also games like the PSOne Classic Metal Gear Solid, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection with 2, 3, and Peace Walker, as well as the spinoff Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

PS Vita owners get a smaller selection, with either the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection together, or Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater sold individually. Peace Walker isn’t included in the PS Vita HD Collection, but you can purchase the PSP version of it that is also playable on the PS Vita by transferring from the PS3.
