The release date for Street Fighter 5 may have been leaked thanks to the PlayStation Store.
As of time of writing, the PlayStation Store has the release date for Street Fighter 5 up. It says it will be out February 2nd, 2016.
This is the North American version of the PlayStation Store and February 2nd is a Tuesday. All signs point that the Street Fighter 5 release date could be real.
Capcom did announce earlier that Street Fighter 5 will be out this fiscal year. This means a date that falls before March 31st, 2016.
It’s possible the February date listed here is legit. Street Fighter IV came out back in 2009 in the month of February.
Street Fighter 5 is a fighting game not a RPG, so the development time shouldn’t take too long. A lot of progress has been made since it was first announced back in December.
At E3 2015, it was revealed that Cammy and Birdie are in the game. They look great alongside Ryu, Charlie, Chun-Li and M. Bison. Overall six characters have been revealed so far.
Street Fighter 5 will also have a beta next month on PS4 if you pre-order the game. If you want a preview, you better order it now.
