This month’s Pokémon GO Community Day recently ended, which means it’s time for Niantic to announce the next one.
Niantic recently announced that next month’s Community Day event will feature the Generation III Psychic/Fairy-type Ralts. The event will take place on Saturday, August 3 and will run from 4:00pm-7:00pm local time.
For those unfamiliar with Pokémon GO Community Days, once a month the game’s community will come together to catch a specific Pokémon. With August’s Community Day centering around Ralts, this means that Ralts will appear in the wild much more frequently than usual, and there will also be a greater chance of finding a Shiny Ralts. Considering Ralts tends to be a pretty rare Pokémon in the game, this is an event players likely won’t want to miss. Additionally, any Kirlia (Ralts’ evolved form) that evolves into a Gardevoir or Gallade during the three-hour span of the Community Day will learn an exclusive move that it can’t normally learn in the game. What this move is and whether Kirlia will need to evolve into Gardevoir or Gallade to learn the move is currently unknown, however.
In addition to more Ralts spawning, Eggs will hatch at one-fourth the distance normally needed to hatch them during Community Day hours, and Lures will last three hours, as opposed to the usual thirty minutes.
