Pokémon GO: Shinx Community Day Announced for November 2021

Shinx Community Day in Pokémon GO has been officially announced and is taking place on Sunday, November 21st, 2021. November’s Community Day in Pokémon GO will feature the Electric-type Generation 4 Pokémon, Shinx, as predicted by fans based on the hint given in the recent ‘Developer Diaries’ video. The event runs from November 21st, 2021 at 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, local time.

The event was announced by Niantic on Pokémon GO’s official blog, detailing the event and its bonuses. Shinx that are evolved into Luxio during the event, or two hours after, will know the exclusive move ‘Psychic Fangs’, which is a Psychic-type Charged Attack.  Psychic Fangs will not be available via TM, even during event hours.

Two special bonuses, instead of the usual one, will be active during Shinx Community Day to celebrate the “last Community Day event of the year before the annual big December Community Day event.” Trainers will receive 3x Transfer Candy and are 4x more likely to earn Candy XL when transferring Pokémon.

Shinx will have its shiny chance heavily boosted during the event and is the main draw of all Community Days. Shinx’s shiny has already been released prior to its Community Day and can be viewed below.

As is tradition with Pokémon GO Community Days, Shinx Community Day will feature a paid Special Research Story, ‘Flash, Spark and Gleam’, for $1 USD or equivalent pricing in the player’s local currency. The ticket will be purchasable in the near future and are nonrefundable.

Like all Community Day events, 1/4 Hatch Distance will be active during the event with eggs that are placed into incubators during the event period. Incense activated during the event will also last for three hours, along with Lure Modules placed on PokéStops. Finally, Shinx will be appearing in Snapshots.

A one-time purchasable Community Day box will be available to purchase in the shop for 1,280 PokéCoins and contains 50 Ultra Balls, 4 Incense, 4 Star Pieces and an Elite Charged TM. A free box containing 30 Ultra Balls will also be available when the event begins on November 21st.

With Pokémon GO‘s Halloween Mischief event well underway, there’s plenty to do during the lead-up to the final unique Community Day of 2021, as December will feature a combination of all Pokémon featured in Community Day events this year. With the bonuses now known, players should keep as many good Pokémon species as possible to take advantage of Shinx Community Day’s generous special bonuses.

Pokémon GO is available on Android and iOS devices.
