Pokemon Go Update 0.67.1 and 1.37.1 are heading out now for Android and iPhone respectively. These new client versions of the game add in the many changes that have been teased for this big summer update. New gym mechanics, raids, new items, and much more are coming with this new update, though Niantic might take some time before they enable it all. Check out the full patch notes below to find out what is coming for Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go Update 0.67.1 and 1.37.1 patch notes:

Gym features significantly updated to add the all-new motivation system.
Added new Gym Badge feature.
Added in-app and push notification system for Gyms.
Added Raid Battles, a new cooperative gameplay experience.
Added four new items available only by completing Raid Battles.
Added Raids tab to Nearby screen.
Added search functionality to Pokémon collection screen.
Added visual indicator to unvisited PokéStops.

Some big and much needed changes for the hugely popular mobile game. The new gyms look like a big improvement over what we’ve had for the last year, and raids offer something big and new that will help draw players together. The new items are great as well, with TM’s allowing players to randomly get new attacks for their Pokemon. This helps eliminate some of the RNG nature of evolving, with some powerful Pokemon getting assigned terrible moves.

There seems to be more in store for Pokemon Go in the future so keep an eye out for more updates to come along through the next few months.
