The ever popular Pokemon Lycanroc is getting yet another new form with the release of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. However, not everyone will get to check out this new character. Like with Sun and Moon before it, only players who preorder Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, or purchase it near release date, will be able to receive Dusk Form Lycanroc.
“Dusk Form Lycanroc shares some of the aspects of Midday Form, such as a four-legged stance and obedience toward its trusted Trainer,” explains The Pokemon Company. “But it’s also like Midnight Form—at the moment it attacks, its eyes turn red! Around its neck are four rocks like those of Midday Form, while the mane on its head matches that of Midnight Form.”
These traits carry over into the moves that Dusk Form Lycanroc can learn, creating a mix of his day and night forms. Dusk Form Lycanroc can learn both Accelerock and Counter, which were separated into the different forms before.
Of course, only a special Rockruff can turn into this unique Lycanroc, so how do you get it? It can’t be found through regular gameplay at all. Instead players can receive it through the usual Mystery Gift option. This starts on launch day and ends on January 10th, 2018. If you truly want to catch em all then you need to get your copy of Ultra Sun and/or Ultra Moon quickly.
