The Pokemon series is one of the most popular franchises in all of gaming and over the years we have had a variety of different spinoffs come out. Some of these are more well known than others, but one that many have not heard of is coming to the Wii U eShop tomorrow as a VC Wii release.

The Nintendo Wii had a few different Pokemon games in its lifespan, including more typical outings like Pokemon: Battle Revolution. However, there were also some other spinoffs and one of those was the short lived PokePark series.

PokePark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure released back in 2009 in Japan, followed by a US release in 2010, and received mostly mixed reviews, but most seemed to say that the game could be a good bit of fun for kids. It was then followed up by a sequel that got lesser reviews, and the series hasn’t been heard from since.

The first game has since fetched decent prices on eBay due to having less distribution than other titles in the series, but now you will be able to get it much easier.

Starting tomorrow, May 19, you will be able to download the Virtual Console release of PokePark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure on the Wii U eShop for $19.99. This isn’t much different than what it is available for online, but not having to track one down and instead being able to just download it is much better.

PokePark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure has already been available on the Wii U eShop in Europe for awhile, but those in the US now get the opportunity to get it if they want as the series continues to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
