David Cage the outspoken creator of Heavy Rain, recently announced in an interview that there is something brewing over at Quantic Dream.  In the interview Cage said that his development studio is working on something, but that something is not coming in 2011.  Cage did say that his next games would be remaining on the PlayStation 3, and continued where his controversial GDC session left off by reiterating his dislike for a video game landscape that swathed only in shooters.

“Would you go and see a movie which just shows shooting for 90 minutes?” the French game director asks CVG. “That appeals very much to my son, who is 10 years old. He wants to explore the world, but also fears it. Being in a video game where he can jump very far, have cool guns and shoot at people without getting hurt is something he feels very good about. It gives him exaggerated confidence, control. But as an adult, it doesn’t work. When you think of non-gamers, very few people have an interest in that.”

I think its safe to say that Quantic Dream’s next game is not going to be a first person shooter.  But what will it be?  Cage said that the reveal timing is being discussed with Sony at the moment which means it could or could not be at least announced at E3.
