PS4 sales have had a remarkable streak of weekly growths in Japan ever since the announcement of Monster Hunter: World in the past E3 and the closer it gets to the launch of Dragon Quest XI at the end of this month. This week’s sales numbers provided by Media Create show Sony’s console at the top of the hardware chart with 29.194 sales, an increase from last week’s 25.680.

PS4 is able to lead the charts in part due to the severe stock issues that still affect to Nintendo Switch. While the hybrid console is expected to be widely available in time for the release of Splatoon 2 in two weeks, for now it continues to have very limited shipments.

On the software chart, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology was the best selling game in a week with soft numbers despite the multiple releases. The game is a 3DS port of the original Nintendo DS title, which adds new content and features like voice acting, new visuals and music. Other new entries include Osomatsu-San: The Game, Portal Knights, LEGO City Undercover, and Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Game of the Year Edition, with none of them making a particularly strong impression.
