It was announced the other day that PSN would be receiving maintenance later today for about three hours. However, just like before the last maintenance on the network, the PlayStation Network was down late last night and into the overnight hours for some. Luckily, Sony has worked hard to get the servers back up and running.
The issues that most gamers were having were involving online gameplay and the PlayStation Store. The PSN status website has it currently listed as online, but only a few hours ago the official Ask PlayStation Twitter account said that some gamers were still having issues.
- “We are aware that some users are experiencing PSN issues. Thanks for your continued patience as we investigate.”
The Twitter account also said that the issues are being resolved, so there is a very good chance that you will not notice any issues whatsoever.
The upcoming maintenance is scheduled for 12:00 pm EST and set to last until 3:30 pm PST, but as per usual, those who have used the PlayStation Network before are supposed to still be able to use it during the downtime. Last time there was maintenance though, many gamers still had issues accessing the servers, so hopefully that will not be the case this time. If there happens to be any major issues, we will be sure to keep you updated.
